Several months after the release of the Galaxy flagship, Samsung releases a more compact version of the handset. Galaxy S5 Mini will inherit many key features of its larger version, including a fingerprint scanner, a heart rate monitor and power saving mode. Samsung also promises that the smartphone will be compatible with a range of smartwatch and activity tracker devices.
The compact version of the flaghship will be running Android 4.4 KitKat and have a 4.5-inch AMOLED display with a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. Inside Mini will have a 1.4GHz quad core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot that will allow to extend the storage space with extra 64GB. And the main thing — the color variations, of course. Galaxy S5 Mini will be available in “charcoal black”, “electric blue”, “copper gold” and “shimmery white”.
The phone will hit Russian markets in July with «other global markets» to follow. No exact price, as usual, but it will probably cost something in between $500 and $600 for a SIM-free phone.
